Green Key Label - Eco-responsibility

At Domaine de Lanis, our philosophy is based on respect for nature and the well-being of our visitors. Since our opening in 2023, we have made eco-responsibility a priority in every aspect of our business.

The Lanis estate: sustainable tourism recognized with the Green Key label

Since January 2025, the Lanis estate is proud to carry the Green Key label , becoming the first labeled bed and breakfast in the Aude.

This label, awarded by the Teragir association, recognizes establishments that make a concrete commitment to the environment through responsible and measurable actions. It reflects our desire to progress, year after year, with simple and consistent choices.

Responsible energy and water management

We have made concrete investments to reduce our impact, with the installation of 55 solar panels and the provision of a 22 kW electric charging station for our guests.
On a daily basis, we also use eco-friendly solutions to limit our water and energy consumption: economical equipment and simple practices, designed to reduce waste.

Ethical meals

Our breakfasts and dinners are homemade, using local, seasonal, and whenever possible, organic produce for a sustainable and delicious meal. And because food waste is a key issue, we are developing new, gourmet, zero-waste recipes, with the aim of making the most of every ingredient.

Local and responsible choices

We favour bulk sales, short supply chains and limiting disposable packaging to minimize our impact. At reception, we have also installed a small display case to showcase some local products (cassoulet, wines…) and share even more of our favorite local finds.

A welcome designed for sustainable modes of transport

Cyclists are especially welcome thanks to our adapted facilities and our Accueil Vélo label.

Inclusion for all

We are certified by the Tourism & Disability label for all four types of disability and have a fully adapted accessible room. We establish solidarity partnerships, such as with the ESAT in Castelnaudary.
