Everything you need to know before and during your stay at Domaine de Lanis

The Domaine de Lanis is a charming guest house , neither a hotel nor a gîte .
This means that we welcome you to our home , in a warm and authentic setting, with a limited number of rooms (5) , direct contact with the hosts and homemade meals served at our table.
You benefit from quality services and an environment conducive to relaxation, but without certain services offered in hotels or lodges (such as a 24-hour reception or access to a kitchen).

Arrival and departure

What time can I arrive?

Arrivals are possible between 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Feel free to send us a text message when you have a more precise idea of your arrival time 😊

What time should I check out?

Departures are between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Comfort in the rooms

Are the rooms air conditioned?

Yes, they are equipped with a heat pump heating and air conditioning system, which can be individually adjusted.
For ecological reasons, the temperature is limited to 22°C .
 

Is there a television?

No. We have chosen not to equip the rooms with televisions , to encourage relaxation and disconnection.
Books, comics, and board games are available, as well as an excellent Wi-Fi connection to access your content.

Is wifi available?

Yes, high-speed Wi-Fi (fiber) is available free of charge throughout the house and on the terrace.

Is there a courtesy tray?

Yes, each room has a tray with organic tea, coffee and sugar , with 100% recyclable capsules.

Is it possible to have meals in the rooms?

No, we do not serve dinner in the rooms and ask our guests not to eat in the rooms.

Can we smoke in the house?

The house is completely non-smoking . Please smoke only outside.

Meals and table d'hôtes

Do you offer dinner on site?

Yes, we offer a table d'hôtes dinner , home-cooked using local, organic and seasonal products.
The meal includes an aperitif, a starter, a main course, a dessert and coffee or herbal tea.
This is a single menu for the entire table. If you have any special requirements for the meal (intolerance, special diet, etc.), it is essential to indicate this to us at the time of booking.
📌 Reservation at least 48 hours in advance
Dinner is offered subject to the total number of guests for the evening reaching 4 people .

The table d'hôtes may not be available on certain evenings due to exceptional unavailability. Please do not hesitate to call us beforehand.

Can I cook or reheat a dish?

No, access to a kitchen is not provided for regulatory reasons of food hygiene and safety.

Outdoor spaces and facilities

Can we enjoy the park freely?

Yes, the one-hectare wooded park is accessible to all our guests: hammocks, hanging chairs, garden furniture, etc.
⚠️ The outdoor areas are not enclosed and may not be suitable for very young children. In case of strong winds, we recommend avoiding the park.

Is there a pool ?

Yes, the outdoor swimming pool (12 m x 4 m, depth 1.40 m) is open from June to September , every day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
It is not heated , but a thermal curtain and a dark liner help to keep the heat in.
Deckchairs are available.

Do you provide pool towels?

Yes, if necessary, we can lend you some so that you don't have to use towels.

Are there any games for children?

Yes, but not just for children, we have a ping pong table and table football.

Animals

Can I bring my pet?

We love animals, but they are not allowed on the estate.

How far are you from a train station?

We are 3.5km from Castelnaudary station.

How far are you from an airport?

We are 37km from Carcassonne airport and 72km from Toulouse airport.

How far are you from the Canal du Midi?

We are 3.5km from the Canal du Midi. And if you're doing it by bike, we have the Accueil Vélo label.

How far are you from an airfield?

We are 7km from Castelnaudary airfield.
