With its 34 m² on one level, the Ginger room combines comfort, charm and accessibility. All travertine and exposed stonework, it captivates as much for its mineral character as for its elegance.
Home-made breakfast included.
Located on the ground floor and facing due south, the Ginger room is bathed in light. The view extends over a large lawn and the hills of the Lauragais. Its thick walls provide a very welcome natural coolness. And on hotter summer days, the air conditioning makes all the difference.
The whole room is in travertine: floors, bathroom, details. The exposed stonework was not planned. When stripping the many layers of wallpaper during the renovation, the wall came with it. What was a building headache became a decorative asset, and it is often the first thing guests notice.
The panoramic wallpaper at the head of the bed, a nature landscape, completes this mineral and soothing atmosphere.
Designed from the outset to be accessible to people with reduced mobility, it retains the same level of elegance and amenities as the other rooms on the estate. It is equally chosen by guests without specific needs for its mineral character, its light and its tranquillity.
The king-size bed (180x200, convertible into two single beds from 2 nights), the lounge area and the large desk ensure a comfortable stay, whether for resting or working remotely.
The room has a welcome tray (kettle, coffee maker, organic teas and coffees), reversible air conditioning and fibre Wi-Fi.
The travertine bathroom is spacious: large walk-in shower with grab rails, double washbasin, heated towel rail. Towels and toiletries are provided.
During your stay, you are free to enjoy the 1.4-hectare tree-lined park, the outdoor lounges, the hammocks, or the swimming pool (open from June to September), perfect for a refreshing break in the heart of nature.
Breakfast is included and prepared every morning: breads, brioches, cakes, yoghurts, jams, cheese, eggs, fresh fruit salad, fruit juice, coffee and tea. All home-made with local, seasonal and essentially organic produce. Served on the terrace as soon as the weather is fine, with a view over the park.
In the evening, on reservation at least 48 hours in advance, our table d'hôtes offers home-cooked cuisine inspired by local and seasonal produce, to be enjoyed in a convivial atmosphere. All the information is on the dedicated page for our table d'hôtes.
Spacious and soothing, the Poppy room (34 m²) is the family room of the estate. Perfect for two, it can accommodate a third person thanks to its alcove bed.
Home-made breakfast included.
Located upstairs and facing north, the Poppy room benefits from a pleasant coolness in summer and a restful view over the tree-lined park.
It has a king-size bed (180x200, convertible into two single beds from 2 nights) and an alcove bed (90x190) which becomes a bench seat when the room is occupied by only two people, transforming the alcove into a lounge area. A discreet and well-thought-out solution for families or travellers who want a little more space.
The large floral wallpaper at the head of the bed sets the tone: generous, colourful, alive. The sea-green shades of the walls, the marble fireplace and the carefully sourced furniture create a soft and singular atmosphere.
The room includes a lounge area (or bed), a desk, a welcome tray (kettle, coffee maker, organic teas and coffees), reversible air conditioning and fibre Wi-Fi.
The modern bathroom, with a walk-in shower, opens onto the park and offers a moment of relaxation with a touch of nature. Towels and toiletries are provided.
During your stay, enjoy the 1.4-hectare tree-lined park at your leisure, the hammocks, hanging chairs and garden lounges. From June to September, the outdoor swimming pool invites you to a refreshing break in a serene setting.

Breakfasts and dinners favour home-cooked food made with local, seasonal produce. As soon as the weather is fine, they are served on the terrace overlooking the park.
Canal du Midi, Carcassonne, Toulouse, Montagne Noire...
The estate is ideally located to discover the treasures of the region, on foot, by bike or by car.
Certified Clef Verte, Tourisme & Handicap and Accueil Vélo, Domaine de Lanis is committed to welcoming guests in a sustainable and accessible way.
Your family home for the duration of your stay The estate can be privatised for stays with friends or family. We take care of everything so you can make the most of your time here.
We arrived at Domaine de Lanis in late 2021 with a simple wish: to create a place to share. A natural, intimate space, conducive to escape and conviviality. Everything we had been looking for ourselves during 25 years of Parisian life and careers in new technologies. Our escapes back then? Cooking for loved ones and travelling, always in search of nature and authentic encounters. The idea of a bed and breakfast felt like a natural conclusion.
We found this place here: an old Lauragais farmhouse steeped in history, surrounded by a magnificent tree-lined park, 5 minutes from the centre of Castelnaudary, a stone's throw from the Canal du Midi, between Carcassonne and Toulouse. We fully renovated it, taking care to preserve traces of the past while integrating all modern comforts. Cooking holds an essential place in our project. Each room is named after a spice.
At our table d'hôtes, we cook with local, organic produce as much as possible, adding our own personal touch.
For us, sharing this place also means committing to more responsible tourism. Clef Verte, Tourisme & Handicap, Accueil Vélo: our labels reflect our convictions.
